2025 Sock Donation Drive to Help People Experiencing Homelessness!! 

Did you know that socks are the most sought-after items at homeless shelters? Did you know that many people experiencing homelessness don't even seek foot care due to embarrassment about the condition of their feet & socks? Did you know that Jesus literally washed people's feet? Please help Salt & Light Church be Salt & Light to people who need to know they are loved, seen, and cared for. Let's help their feet warm, clean & healthy. Please come alongside us to provide as many NEW socks as possible to those in & around our community experiencing homelessness & hardship.

How can you help? We're glad you asked! You have FOUR different options for this:

1. Drop off NEW socks at the front desk of the RE/MAX Results office in Andover, at 2677 Bunker Lake Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304, during business hours.

2. Bring NEW socks to an upcoming Community Interest Meeting, scheduled for 6pm-7pm on July 31 at Rudy Johnson Park, OR August 28 at Peninsula Point Park, OR September 25 at Sunny Acres Park. 

3. We know you get busy - and hand-delivering may not be feasible for you. But don't worry, there's an app for that! Feel free to have socks delivered from Amazon or Wal-Mart or your favorite online retailer, to the same RE/MAX Results building listed above. ATTN: Lyman & Denise Jenkins.

4. If you would just like to give money for this, please reach out for instructions, and be assured that 100% of the cash we receive will be spent on socks & only socks.

We would never expect anyone to want to join us if they don't know us first!

Join us for one of our upcoming Community Interest Meetings to learn more about who we are, and about the vision God has called us to in Anoka, and how you can partner with us, as a member of our LAUNCH TEAM, to help us illuminate God's light & make people thirsty for Jesus.

Anoka Food Truck Festival | Downtown Anoka | Saturday August 16, 2025 11AM – 9PM

Over FIFTY food trucks. Live music. Games & Giveaways. Salt & Light Church!

Our objectives at the Food Truck Festival are the same as it is at Riverfest & the Anoka County Fair. But we get to eat some great food together too, and it will also serve as yet another starting point AND drop-off site for the Sock Donation Drive!

Fall Sock Distribution | Downtown Minneapolis | October 25, 2025 9AM – 2PM

Each year, as Winter approaches, we partner with our friends at Loaves & Fishes to distribute the items we received in our Summer donation drive(s), (THIS YEAR WE HAVE SOCKS) on their weekly food distribution route in Minneapolis. Further, if you are looking for a place to serve and would like to volunteer with their weekly route, get in touch and we will connect you!
